Neighbourhood Clean Up

Litter is a big problem but we can all do something about it to help keep England clean and tidy. Keep Britain Tidy’s campaign, The Big Tidy Up, is set to get the entire country cleaning up. Mcdonalds in Swindon (owned by Booth Restaurants Ltd) is helping with this campaign by getting staff, local school children (and councillors) to get in on the act.

This week, Cllr Emma Faramarzi and Cllr Toby Elliott joined the Year 5 school children from Oakhurst Primary School and Mcdonalds staff on a litter pick from the school grounds 1.3 miles to the Mcdonalds at the Orbital Retail Park.

The Enthusiastic volunteers filled their bags to the brim before being rewarded with free lunch by Mcdonalds.
